Maybe I was not the target audience but this is my first Catharine Maura book and I don't think I'll ever read anything by her again. The story itself read as a soap opera and was completely contrived. Forever After All is my only true standalone, and its a great entry point if you dont want to read Stolen Moments. ![]() Ray was always second guessing herself and wouldn't get out of her own way and Silas was a complete jerk. In the second part of the book, the characters as adults never seemed to get out of middle school emotions and reactions. I initially couldn't get past these themes in the beginning so I put the book down for a while and then gave it another chance because the reviews mentioned a future so I assumed the characters would grow up and I would be less disturbed. The characters initially are immature which given their age in the beginning of the book was forgivable. The story starts out with a disturbing child/adult romance along with a theme of suicide. ![]() I stumbled onto this book because I am a huge fan of Zachary Webber's narration. I am not sure why this book is so highly rated.
